Nathan Click
Founder
As founder and principal at Click Strategies, Click has crafted successful communications and public affairs campaigns for clients across countless sectors.
Click has advised campaigns in 35 states, helped lead more than a dozen statewide California election campaigns to victory, and guided companies as they navigated major public fights. His firm is deeply connected nationwide, with special expertise in California — spanning Silicon Valley to Sacramento to Los Angeles City Hall.
Before opening his firm, Click served as Governor Newsom's top communications advisor in the Governor's Office, and later helped the Governor fend off a recall challenge by a 20-point margin. He also served as a senior communications and political aide to leading national Democrats, including Vice President Kamala Harris, Attorney General Rob Bonta, U.S. Senator Mazie Hirono, and Congressman Robert Garcia. He lives in Los Angeles.

Zach Seidl
Managing Director
Zach is a tested communications and crisis expert who pairs relationships with the nation's most prominent media outlets and influencers with deep digital and social media insight to craft strategies that deliver results and navigate high-stakes reputational, policy, and legal challenges.
As the firm's Managing Director, he is a trusted advisor to private sector, public sector, and nonprofit clients.
Zach joined Click Strategies after serving as Deputy Mayor for Communications for Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, a post he earned after helping lead her historic campaign to a 10-point win despite being outspent 10-1. As Deputy Mayor, he steered communications for a municipal enterprise of 40-plus departments, 50,000 employees, and a $13 billion annual budget.
Earlier, on Capitol Hill, he led communications on presidential campaigns, the COVID-19 pandemic, national criminal justice reform, and other high-profile policy issues.
Zach earned his degree in Economics from UCLA.

Maddy Buss
Senior Associate
Maddy is a communications and design strategist specializing in public affairs and political campaigns.
As a Senior Associate at Click Strategies, she develops high-impact strategies for political leaders, nonprofits, and private sector clients. She has led digital campaigns for multiple statewide ballot initiatives, including Yes on Proposition 3 (2024). Through data-driven messaging, content creation, and coalition engagement, she has mobilized key audiences and helped secure major wins across California.
Previously, Maddy was Creative Lead at Simplified (acquired by Courier News), a digital platform making news and politics accessible, where she oversaw branding, content strategy, and high-profile collaborations.
Maddy holds a B.A. in Political Science from Chapman University.
